HOT Yoga Class

We are very excited to extend our Yoga class offerings with HOT Yoga.

Hot Yoga offers a lively practice in our 87 degree, climate-controlled studio- the only one in Oceana County!  A combination of gentle and challenging postures are made accessible through the use of props and modifications.  Students connect breath and fluid movement to a unique music playlist, appropriate for new and advanced students alike. When you’re ready to get sweaty, try this fun, flow-based class designed to help you grow stronger, more flexible and ultimately more balanced. Beginners are encouraged to try this unique style and temperatures are kept manageable for comfort.  Respectfully offered with attention to blood pressure, hydration and student’s limitations, in a lighthearted atmosphere.

Pound Fitness Class

A new exciting class brought to you by Juanita Garza, a certified Pound Fitness Instructor. Created by two female drummers, the POUND workout fuses cardio interval training with drumming to provide a challenging, heart-pumping workout. Anyone who thrives off the group fitness environment or needs loud music to stay motivated needs try this class ASAP.

It moves fast: From start to finish, lively, heart-pumping movements and upbeat tunes keep the workout feeling fresh. There’s no holding an uncomfortable pose for an extended period of time; the class is always moving, always changing, and always pushing the body to its limits. Plus, the time flies by! It moves from warmup to cooldown in just 45 minutes.

It’s a full-body workout: While certain group fitness classes tend to target particular areas of the body, POUND offers a full-body workout and targets common trouble spots. A huge part of the class is performed in a squat position. The constant up-and-down drumming targets your inner and outer thighs, butt, and core. And those drumsticks aren’t just for show; at one-fourth pound per stick and a little shorter than the standard length, they’re perfectly designed to maximize your arm workout.

You’ll blow off steam: After a long day, there are few things more exhilarating than grabbing a pair of drumsticks and being able to POUND out your stress. Whether you’re sitting down doing mat work or up on your feet jumping to a new track, everything seems more tolerable — and more fun! — when you’re banging on the floor a pair of neon green drumsticks.

Restorative Yoga

We work hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely take time to rest. Restorative Yoga poses help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely. During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited, and a few of the measurable results of relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure and the improvement of immune function, as well as improvement in digestion, fertility, elimination, and the reduction of muscle tension and generalized fatigue. Students should be able to lie on the ground comfortably and move from sitting to lying without assistance. Quiet your mind, relieve chronic pain and soothe your soul in these tranquil sessions designed to leave you feeling refreshed and ready to find sweet surrender. Poses are done entirely on the floor with the support of props, blocks and bolsters and a deep disengagement of the muscles and focus on the breath are the ultimate aims. Go ahead and surrender to our soft, soothing, spirit-lifting sequences in the dark of our warm and cozy intimate studio space.

Modern life is fast enough – your yoga doesn’t have to be. Sweet Surrender Restorative Yoga is here just for that. Deliberately mindful, measured movement can balance that frenzied energy. All postures performed on the floor for a relaxing practice. Blankets and props used to achieve deeper stretching of the muscles. Fundamental Fitness

Mixed Martial Arts

A class for all ages to learn martial arts and exercise! Students can earn belts as they learn discipline and build self-confidence. Martial Arts teacher Sifu Ray Johnson is a 7th degree black belt. Sifu Johnson has many years of experience teaching students at all levels and ages. If you are interested in furthering your martial arts training for personal or competitive purposes Sifu Johnson is an excellent choice. Draw on his extensive knowledge and experience in competitive martial arts to improve your personal technique.

  • 3 introductory Sessions– Beginners- Basic Self Defense Techniques.
